Default Can someone explain why an AU version of Blue Sky has better benefits than the US ver

Ok so I have been wanting to find a Card now for some time that offers me the benefits I want. Mileage/points is secondary to me. I want services primarily. Lost baggage insurance, delayed flight insurance, trip cancellation insurance etc. For when I travel. I can't find one. One offers one type of insurance I want while another offers another kind. But not on one card. Until I stumble upon *this* url trying to find a PDF listing the exact benefits for the American Express Blue Sky card. This is it! This is the card I want right there! It offers all the insurance I want, lost/stolen baggage insurance, baggage delay insurance, trip delay/cancelation insurance. But it's only available on the Australian version

I am *seriously* bummed that these same insurance coverages are not offered on the US version of the blue sky card. Can anyone enlighten me as to why those down under get better insurance perks on the same card from AE? I would pounce on that card in a heart beat if it had the same benefits on the american version.

I don't know the answer, but I can speculate that it may be due to different laws/regulations applying in Australia. Maybe the card there offers extra/different benefits to make up for others it can't or doesn't want to offer there.

Although I don't pay a whole lot of attention to travel/insurance benefits of cards, I find it hard to believe you can't find one that offers what you say you want, or at least something close. I would check Chase Sapphire if you haven't already. Some of the airline-affiliated cards might be good for what you want, too. Also note that your homeowner's/renter's insurance may cover you for lost luggage, personal items.
