    Default Good Blue Cash Limit

I just applied and was instantly approved for blue cash @ 10k limit. Any ideas on why Amex is being so stingy w/limits? I have clean history but 23yrs old. Ideas to raise my limit?

    Thanks

My Bluecash limit is $26,500, but I'm sure if someone at Amex noticed they would cut that in half right away. I never used the card. I don't remember what I started with; it just crept up over th years.

Mine was $16,000 but cut to $2,500 last year. I still like Amex but that got me to stop using the card.

Back in 05 thru 07 I recall that on the account management on the Amex website, there was a tab every shown on my Blue Cash account that I could click on every 30 days to get a soft pull credit limit increase. I don't see that coming back anytime soon unfortunately. But I would wait 6 months from the date opened and then call for a CL increase. Last I checked Amex isn't doing CL increases more often than once every 180 days.
