Default David Jones American Express card

my cousin from Australia says there is an Amex card there called the David Jones card and it has almost 2 months interest free. I have no clue what David Jones is (he says its a store there ? ) but we need a credit card like that in the US. The sucky part is it has a $100 ( in Australian dollars ) annual fee.

2 months w/o interest would be nice!

That already exists and it's called the Plum Card. It has an annual fee too though and I want to say its $75 or $100.

It's important to note the Plum card would be considered deceiving to some.

Suppose you make $1,000 in purchases this month, $500 in purchases next month, and the following month you make a payment of $1,000. That payment would be applied to the previous month first ($500) and any remainder to the month before that.

Due to the way interest is calculated and applied there is the potential to always pay interest if you plan on carrying your balances over the full two months.

is the plum card the one that came out last christmas and they would only offer it to 10,000 people at first? that was good marketing they made it seem scarce like they do the black card.

i looked into that card and it gives 2% cashback but your monthly spending has to be over $5000 A MONTH to get that. that's a lot of spending!

ps the annual fee on that was more like 200 from what i remember

fyi David Jones aka DJs is a chain of department stores in Australia. It kinda like macys I would compare it to because they have clothes, cooking stuff, makeup, and even some electronic gizmos and gadget.s

I know because I lived in melbourne for two and a half years when I was younger. good times!!
