Pretty decent guide and good discussion.

Does anyone here really want the Centurion card and can afford it ($7,500)?

I took a glance at the Amex black card benefits guide and it was not enough to convince me this card is anywhere worth the outrageous fees it carries.

Don't worry, you can't get it anyway

A lot of benefits have changed from that guide, BTW. I think Mahalo has a pretty good updated list, but there are a lot more benefits and there are some I am just discovering myself. For example, today I learned a new benefit I could put to use: "Centurion members can enjoy a complimentary upgrade from Business to First Class (subject to availability) on Emirates, Swiss International Air Lines, and Etihad Airways."

Amex claims the value of all the card's benefits adds up to $21,000. I think that number is heavily inflated, but if you travel a lot and get a lot of first class upgrades while flying and in hotels, those alone can add up to paying for the $2,500 annual fee pretty quickly... it does for me.

    Just my $0.02

Strange, most my posts have been edited or deleted. Lots of censorship on this site. Forum members beware!

I apologize for my prior statement, the Admin is only making sure he is not legally liable for anything said in the forum, whether or not it is actually legal or not is another question for lawyers and law enforcement, IMO. Regardless, I retract my statement regarding censorship.
