Default S&P cuts Amex credit rating to "A"

On Friday S&P cut it from "A-plus" to "A"

Obviously that's still outstanding but it's bad for American Express because it will effect the prices of their bonds or any other public funding method, making it cost Amex more for spending.
Disclosure: I am a moderator/paid staff of this site, which does have advertising relationships with some credit cards that are discussed. Regardless, anything I say is my honest opinion.
