Default Please help me find a Card!

    Hi,

I'm new to these boards but I have read a lot of posts, blogs and reviews. After all that I'm confused as to what credit card is appropriate for me.

    My history.
    -fico score 790-820
    -no late payments with anything
    -own 5 businesses

    My requirement
-high credit limit or ability to get a high credit limit over time 25+(pref 50k+)
    -cash advance on credit limit
    -if possible low apr
    -i don't need points,miles or cash back
    -no discover

    1. Please recommend a card suitable for me.

2.Also is I would like to know if I cancel my current cards and apply for 3 new ones will it effect my credit score?

3.What is a good number of cards to have before it will start effecting my score.

4.Based on my research amex may fit me well but I am very concerned about amex cutting credit limits...how prevalent is this? Should I be concerned?

    Thank you

With that Fico score you should qualify for any card. But what's most important to you, the credit line? You could have some difficulty getting that credit line right off the bat. Right now everyone is giving out pitiful credit limits on new accounts.

Amex is cutting limits but so is everyone else now, especially B of A. I don't think anyone's high credit limit credit card is safe anymore from a possible decrease.

Don't cancel your current cards. Keep them open because part of your credit score is the length of time you have had the accounts open.
