Default Is Florida Rep. Sansom Abusing His Amex Gold Card?

I was recently visiting Florida and apparently there's some scandal going on there about a state representative allegedly abusing his Amex Gold card. The IRS even got an anonymous tip about it. He [allegedly] spent $170k in 2 years and that includes over $800 at Starbucks. I typed this in on Google and there was a local blog where someone said they saw him whip it out at a personal dinner and although from a distance they couldn't see if it was his personal card or not, they did confirm for a fact it was the American Express gold card.

I wonder how many politicians are ripping us off by charging up their government issued cards? I remember a few months back there was a post in the credit card fraud forum on here about all kinds of huge abuse by gov employees.
Disclosure: I am a moderator/paid staff of this site, which does have advertising relationships with some credit cards that are discussed. Regardless, anything I say is my honest opinion.

I would bet the senators are living the high life with the charge cards. Did you hear about all those Gulfstream jets they ordered for themselves? They went with the most expensive models too.
