Default Transferring Ownership of a Card

I have a card that currently has a balance which is a debt owed to me by a friend.

Does anyone know if it is possible to make my friend the sole owner of the account and the remaining balance? I don't want any association with it.

Unfortunately that is not possible to do. What would I recommend? Have your friend borrow the money elsewhere to pay you back in full right now. You shouldn't have to carry a credit card balance because someone owes you money. Be careful, because debt between friends is one of the most surefire ways for a friendship to go bad.
