    Default Bankruptcy friendly credit cards?

Hi, I had a question. My bankruptcy (ch 7) was discharged about 2 months ago. I want to get started right away on re-establishing my credit. From all the research I have done online, it seems like a credit cards would be the best way to start. Does anyone know of any good banks that are bankruptcy friendly? Or maybe any other suggestions where I can start?

I think it's basically impossible to get an unsecured card right away. The only bankruptcy friendly credit cards will be secured I would think. After 2+ yr I hear it's easier to get a regular card but until then you have to build up your credit using secured cards, store cards etc.

Look at subprime lenders such as Capital One. You are probably looking @ 10-12 months for any unsecured credit, but grab secured card and utilize it will help.

stay away from the following companies if you want bankruptcy friendly credit cards because these cater to high credit scores mostly.
    • american express
    • citi
    • chase
the top two are a definite no but a local chase branch might have a secured credit card avail.
