Class action lawsuit earns us free credit scores!

A 10 billion dollar class action settlement gives Americans up to 9 months of free credit reporting from Transunion. You qualify if you've had a car loan, credit card, mortgage, student loan, or anything else between 1987 and now - that's pretty much everyone.
irtually all Americans. The "class" in the class-action lawsuit includes anyone who had an automobile loan, bank credit card, store credit card, finance company loan, mortgage or student loan in the U.S. between Jan. 1, 1987, and May 28, 2008. I would have to say that qualifies pretty much everyone
Unfortunately it's not available quite yet. The final approval from the court for this settlement isn't expected until September.

It's about time Transunion gets kicked where the sun don't shine. I have a major issue with them about them not reporting my car loan that I obtained July 2007. They are still giving me the runaround that "sometimes it takes creditors several months to start reporting new accounts" - which is bull because the lender swears up/down/sideways that they had been reporting my account since the beginning, last August.
Sent TU a copy pf the lender's letter, two months ago. No acknoledgment whatsoever, and account is still not appearing on the report.

Yeah I m not the biggest fan of Transunion and how they try to market themselves as if they're for the consumer. They still haven't updated my credit limits that were changed last July!
