relieved to know! i moved twice last year with apartments and had to set up utilities each time. i was mad because i was thinking it was doing hard pulls on my credit each of those times. guess not tho!

Yeah I didn't know that employers and landlords didn't count as hard credit pulls either. Thanks guys for sharing that.
Disclosure: I am a moderator/paid staff of this site, which does have advertising relationships with some credit cards that are discussed. Regardless, anything I say is my honest opinion.
Current Cards: American Express: Blue Cash, Simply Cash Bank of America: WorldPoints Platinum Plus Chase: Amazon, British Airways, Cash Plus Rewards, Freedom, Ink Cash Citi: Thank You Premier, Dividend Platinum Select Discover: More
Primary Everyday Card: American Express Blue Cash
Primary Travel Card: Citi Thank You Premier
Good those things shouldn't be counted anyway. I was gonna say if all those counted your average American would have a dozen hard pulls on their credit record a year.
Magyar are you talking about when credit card companies raise your limits voluntarily? Or you just ask if you're elgible and they offer you a raise right off the bat? I know those are only soft pulls. But if you ask for a CL increase make sure you tell them you don't want a hard pull because when they have to do the "review" for an increase that's not automatic it usually is a hard pull.
thank goodness these are a soft pull bec i was reeeeeeal pissed thinking that i was f***ing up my credit just so i get get a job that didn't pay hack s***. still haven't got a job either man this is pissing me off everyone is paying nothing and giving no good benefits. how can we afford to live like this
