Default Anybody thinking of buying a Saab?

Dealer here in Houston seems to have some hefty discounts. If I had an extra $25k just lying around, I might do it.

I guess you heard GM is killing the brand! I've never been a Saab freak but I still find it a shame that they are killing an institution. GM is dying and seems determined to screw up as much as possibel in its death throes.

I would not buy a Saab unless you plan on keeping it long term. The resale value will diminish greatly once the brand is terminated. I have stopped buying makes that have poor resale value; the amount the vehicle is worth at trade-in is equally important as the purchase price.

That is probably true but Saab has a cult following to some extent. I have never been a fan of them but I suspect there will be people who continue to look for used ones.

It also looks like Spryker might be buying Saab.

I don't like the idea of the Chinese buying an American company either, but that's the way the world works now. They are the ones with the money and we might as well get used to it, because I don't see anything in the cards that will change that anytime soon.
Disclosure: I am a moderator/paid staff of this site, which does have advertising relationships with some credit cards that are discussed. Regardless, anything I say is my honest opinion.
