GM has had some super sweet cars come out lately. They new Cadillacs and Camaro are both out. I would totally be down for buying one if I had the money and didn't just buy a car a few weeks ago.

OBAMA
Stop talking crap about him!
I wouldn't have bought a GM product prior to the govt. bailout and I certainly will not now. I don't think President Obama had any alternative but bail them out. Politically it would have been nearly impossible for any politician to let GM fail, IMO.
But GM and Chrysler most certainly do deserve to fail. Eventually they will and now when they do they will have cost taxpayers billions and billions of dollars that could have been better spent retraining auto industry workers.
And speaking of UAW, I am sick and tired of hearing them whine about losing their gold-plated benefits. Union greed and management incompetence are both to blame for the failure of the American auto industry. If policy weren't driven by politics in this country all parties would have been made to suck it up.
(In case it's relevant to anyone, I'm a liberal Dem. who voted for Obama in the primary and general election and would gladly do it again.)
I bought a GM in 04 and the quality has exceeded my Japanese and German cars. The quality is back at GM. I don't see why anyone should not buy one. Personally I also think the styling on their compact/midisized cars are more stylish than comparably priced imports in the under 30 range.
I have a GM car and a SUV and no complaints so far.
I don't think GM should be judged for that. I think they are still capable of coming out with great cars. I heard that they got great cars that are recently out.
