    Default Extra Rewards Will Be Amex's Technique To Promote Christmas Spending

    I read an article that Amex's plan to get more spending on their cards this past weekend was to offer extra rewards incentives.

    They gave 3x points at Amazon.

    American Express Green & Gold received 3x points and Platinum 6x points at over 25 online retailers when they were made through the Amex bonus points mall.

    Unfortunately I didn't read this until today and the promotion ends on the 30th. If any of you have some online shopping to do this Monday - the 30th - you may want to look into this!
