Merrill Lynch Visa Signature or Merril+ card?
I read that the Merrill Lynch visa signature was supposedly rated one of the top 10 most prestigious credit cards by Fortune mag. How can this be and are they talking about the Merrill Lynch Visa Signature card or the Merril+ card and what is the difference between the two anyway?
I think it said you had to have a Merrill Lynch brokerage account with at least 20 thou in it to qualify for their signature card. Besides that I don't get what is so special with this card or what benefits are so outstanding that it would be considered one of the best credit cards in the world.

Is there an annual fee on this card too? Because if they make you have $20,000 in an account and an annual fee that would be nuts. There's plenty of other Visa Signature cards out there that are free and you don't need to have any special requirements to get. I'd rather just go with one of them instead of that whole hooplah.

Speaking of Merrill Lynch and stock brokers weren't there a couple credit cards issued by Bear Stearns. Now that they've bellied up I wonder what happened to everyone's cards. Do they still have the Bear Sterns name on them or have they been sold off to another company and new cards re-issued with different company name and logo.
Would be kind of amusing if the cards are still the same and there's people out there using credit cards from a big i-bank that's now bankrupt.

Now that Bank of America saved Merrill Lynch and bailed them out I wonder what will happen with the Merrill Lynch credit cards. Will the Merrill+ Visa be re-branded as the B of A Visa?
Whatever the case it's not looking good out there this week. The biggest financial companies are collapsing left and right.
