Lightbulb Please help me find a Card!

    Hi,

I'm new to these boards but I have read a lot of posts, blogs and reviews. After all that I'm confused as to what credit card is appropriate for me.

    My history.
    -fico score 790-820
    -no late payments with anything
    -own 5 businesses

    My requirement
-high credit limit or ability to get a high credit limit over time 25+(pref 50k+)
    -cash advance on credit limit
    -if possible low apr
    -i don't need points,miles or cash back
    -no discover

    1. Please recommend a card suitable for me.

2.Also is I would like to know if I cancel my current cards and apply for 3 new ones will it effect my credit score?

3.What is a good number of cards to have before it will start effecting my score.

4.Based on my research amex may fit me well but I am very concerned about amex cutting credit limits...how prevalent is this? Should I be concerned?

    Thank you

Amex hasn't cut my limit yet but I'm crossing my fingers. I have heard they are cutting everyone's limits if you have a high credit limit credit card through them.

How about doing a charge card? Those are higher limits. Or do you need to be able to carry a balance sometimes?

If you cancel cards and open 3 new cards yes it will affect your score. the fewer the cards you have the better off you are.
the more you charge, you pay off your cards in full the better off you are.
since you own 5 business are these legit or just making extra money. for example do you own a hardware store, pasta restaurant or something like Baseball cards? if you own a baseball card business you are not allowed to apply for any small business card. But if own a hardware store you can apply for any small business credit card.

For credit having too few lines can actually be a negative.
