Travelocity Mastercard <-- TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
I just got done cancelling my Travelocity Mastercard, which was issued by Barclays Bank. These guys have terrible customer service. I needed to deal with customer service because they double-billed me for a charge that I made through Travelocity, and because that double-billing put me over the limit they set (more about that in a second), they charged me $39 because I was over my limit!!
What happened to just denying a charge if it was over the limit? I guess since it was Travelocity's card, they could do what they wanted.... but I was not happy. After spending 45 minutes, holding, 5 min talking to one person, more holding, more talk, more holding, a "customer relationship" manager, more holding, ..... they said they would remove the charge.
I have cancelled the card and will start looking for a better one. The other problem was that they set a ridiculously low limit for me (~10-20 times lower than what I have with other cards which are always fully paid up) - but they would never say why such a low charge. I assumed they would just up the limit on my request, but they would not.

Ah the wandering gnome. I've heard a number of bad experiences about them. I have never used them but it appears that since they started cutting on customer service a few years, outsourcing to India and the like, Travelocity really went downhill. This is why I have not used them because I've read so many bad stories and customer experiences.

Don't think it's Travelocity...
Regardless what you think of Tlocity, the offending party here is Barclays; they handle all the credit card business so it's pretty much turnkey for Tlocity.
Barclays is a huge international bank. So is HSBC. In my experience, both seem to be lacking in customer service department. They seem more prone to offshoring cust service to India, Malaysia, etc. because they have customers around the world, so why should it matter? (It matters to me and obviously you, though).
BTW, I've got a Farm Bureau m. card that is offered/managed by Barclays. I never use it because the cashback is awful. However, it is offering an APR of 6.8%, which is astounding these days. But I bet if I used it and didn't pay it off right away that rate would be going up.
